As an environmental conservation centre, Giraffe Centre educates on the country’s wildlife and environment and offers both locals and international visitors close contact with the Rothschild Giraffe.

Karen Blixen Museum

The Karen Blixen Museum is located at the foothills of the Ngong Hills in the suburbs of Nairobi. It began as a home to the Danish author Karen and her husband in the early 1900s. Basing her book ‘Out of Africa’, later adapted into a film of the same name, on her experience, Karen recounted owning a farm on the foot of the Ngong Hills.

The museum presents the person of Karen Blixen and an opportunity to witness the lush green gardens and revel in the past in the present, enjoying the exhibits of well-maintained furniture and tools used.
